With all 8 Artists announced for the Operation New Wave Tournament on 4.21.18 in Old Bridge, NJ, there has been one more impending issue regarding a match simply called...THE STYLES CLASH.
For 5 weeks, the anticipation has been building for which Artists would be lined up for this particular match. On an episode of the Purge of Diverge, MC Monty Max DELIVERED! The Project: Diverge Hypeman announced that the Styles of Old School, Speed, Entertainment, and Hybrid would face off in a four way elimination match. But when Jon Harder became worried about over-extending his athletes for a possible fourth match of the evening, MC Monty Max alleviated his fears. “WE HAVE FOUR NEW ARTISTS!” With the four Styles chosen by MC Monty Max, it was up to the four Artists representing those Styles to find others to go into THE STYLES CLASH. OLD SCHOOL - WILDMAN KONGO Tough Tim Hughes picked Kongo due to his frequent road trips and traveling on the road. Kongo has the Old School Style inside of him, which Tough Tim decided was perfect for this match. ENTERTAINMENT - PRINCE AKKANATAN “The Vile of the Nile” is among one of the most entertaining personalities on the Northeast. Sizzling Stan Stylez, as a man who knows Entertainment, believes that Prince can open some eyes and close out a victory inside of the STYLES CLASH. HYBRID - MIKE DEL Darius Carter personally picked Del as a man who can uphold the Hybrid code. Del is a true hybrid performer, mixing in-ring ability with charisma and flare in between the ropes. SPEED - GABBY ORTIZ The spunky yet spicy Ortiz fits the need for Speed to a T, working on her craft not only in the US but during a tour of Stardom in Japan. 2Hot Steve Scott called her a “stick of dynamite” and that she can explode into victory inside of the STYLES CLASH. MC Monty Max has struck GOLD within this concept. Four Artists inside one match. Which Style will overcome at Operation New Wave inside the STYLES CLASH?

On this edition of the Hardway Podcast, Jon Harder sits down with his sidekick "Sick" Nick Reigota from Nick and Jon: "Live" in New Jersey on #HardwayHQ and Project: Diverge Executive Producer Brian Belzer to discuss the New Wave 8. Listen to insight from the man who started #DIVERGE and why each Artist was selected and interjected into the Operation New Wave tournament on 4.21.18 at the Old Bridge Elks in Old Bridge, NJ. #NewWave8 “MMM...THAT’S RIGHT!!!”
Sizzling Stan Stylez is the eighth and final Artist announced for Project: Diverge’s Operation New Wave on April 21, 2018 at the Old Bridge Elks in Old Bridge, NJ, joining Tough Tim Hughes, “the Magnificent” Giovanni Marranca, 2Hot Steve Scott, Darius Carter, Vince Steele, Ricky Richards, and Tom O’Malley as the other participants announced. Representing the style of Entertainment, Stylez resides in the Penetration Station...by way of Lovelace, NJ...by way of Philadelphia, PA! An offbeat character by nature, “the Sizzling One” does the majority of his training by only one method: the SHAKEWEIGHT. “I was comfortable in my own skin, going out there like when I first started wrestling, and the Shakeweight came calling to me. I took a hold to it and I just FELT THE POWER. A lot of people say to me, ‘Does the Shakeweight really work?’ and I look at them and say “Fitness...the Shakeweight...I harness the power!” Stylez is incredibly unorthodox, but extremely entertaining. At the end of Operation New Wave, win or lose, Stylez plans on doing one thing. “I plan on creating a memory.” Stan Stylez is the eighth participant in Project: Diverge’s first Operation. The final question remains: Who will be the “Styles Clash” created by Project: Diverge Hypeman MC Monty Max? Stay tuned on March 30, 2018 to ProjectDiverge.com for the announcement for Operation New Wave 4.21.18 in Old Bridge in another Live installment of the Purge of Diverge. One month before Operation New Wave, "the Magnificent" Giovanni Marranca posted to his Instagram at ElMagnifico88 calling his shot.
Is the Striking Magnificence overconfident? Or is it a foregone conclusion? #DIVERGE
This came through on a tag last night via the Project: Diverge Twitter.
Is this an inkling for April 21? The anticipation is building... #DIVERGE “I HURT people. I’m violent.”
Ricky Richards is the seventh Artist announced for Project: Diverge’s Operation New Wave on April 21, 2018 at the Old Bridge Elks in Old Bridge, NJ, joining Tough Tim Hughes, “the Magnificent” Giovanni Marranca, 2Hot Steve Scott, Darius Carter, Vince Steele, and Tom O’Malley as the other participants announced. Representing the style of Violence, Richards is from Long Island, NY. A die-hard fan of the New York Islanders, Richards learned his fighting ability by watching his favorite Islanders fight on the ice, which, in turn, allowed him to bring that mentality in between the ropes. “People think that Violence in this day-and-age, you need barbed wire and you need chairs and you need cinderblocks...you don’t need that. All you need is two good fists, two good feet, some muscles, and you need to be able to hurt someone.” Richards is silent, but violent. Richards is methodical. Richards is an angry man. Is there any one who could go fist-for-fist with him at Operation New Wave? He intends to prove that no one can on 4.21.18. Ricky Richards is the seventh participant in Project: Diverge’s first Operation. Who will be the FINAL Artist? Stay tuned on March 23, 2018 to ProjectDiverge.com for the eighth artist announced for Operation New Wave 4.21.18 in Old Bridge. Follow Ricky Richards on Facebook and on Twitter at @Tru_Richards. “It’s a big man’s sport, and it needs to stay that way.”
Vince Steele is the sixth Artist announced for Project: Diverge’s Operation New Wave on April 21, 2018 at the Old Bridge Elks in Old Bridge, NJ, joining Tough Tim Hughes, “the Magnificent” Giovanni Marranca, 2Hot Steve Scott, Darius Carter, and Tom O’Malley as the other participants announced. Representing the style of Powerhouse, Steele is born and bred from the Bronx, NY. 6’6 and 435 lbs, Steele is a flat out bruiser in between the ropes. Showcasing his brute strength and awesome agility, “the Jurassic Juggernaut” isn’t your typical big man; however, he understands one thing: size is everything. “Being a Powerhouse, you have to be explosive. It’s not just moves; it’s how they are performed. To actually pick someone up against their will and slam ‘em down into the mat, that’s something exciting.” Vince Steele almost lost everything, from his significant other and his dear mother. The one thing that pushed him through: WRESTLING. “The Jurassic Juggernaut” intends to outright dominate Project: Diverge. Vince Steele is the sixth participant in Project: Diverge’s first Operation. Who will be the next person included? Stay tuned on March 16, 2018 to ProjectDiverge.com for the seventh artist announced for Operation New Wave 4.21.18 in Old Bridge. Sometimes, my nerves get the better of me.
This time around, it's time to open up a little bit and explain my feelings around the latest as we go into Operation New Wave. Project: Diverge is getting real. From the Hardway into a Purge of Diverge, I call this my MERGE to PURGE. #DIVERGE -Jon “‘I feel my main goal in the wrestling ring is to win.”
Tom O’Malley is the fifth Artist announced for Project: Diverge’s Operation New Wave on April 21, 2018 at the Old Bridge Elks in Old Bridge, NJ, joining Tough Tim Hughes, “the Magnificent” Giovanni Marranca, 2Hot Steve Scott, and Darius Carter as the other participants announced. Representing the style of Scientific Wrestling, O’Malley broke in, similar to Marranca and Scott, through the ACE Wrestling Academy in Union City, NJ under the tutelage of former Ring of Honor World Champion Jay Lethal. O’Malley mixes his strong pro wrestling background with his amateur wrestling foundation. He is one of the rare grapplers to go to Nationals in Rochester, MN from Middlesex County College in 2006. With that strong base, O’Malley has taken to the mat and has really developed his craft as a fantastic scientific wrestler in the pros. “Talk is cheap, and I’m here to win.” A man of few words, O’Malley intends to prove that his silent but violent demeanor will bring him to the forefront of the New Wave and showcase that scientific is what will win Operation New Wave. Tom O’Malley is the fourth participant in Project: Diverge’s first Operation. Who will be the next person included? Stay tuned on March 9, 2018 to ProjectDiverge.com for the sixth artist announced for Operation New Wave 4.21.18 in Old Bridge. Follow Tom O’Malley on Instagram at TScan75. With four of the 8 Artists announced thus far for Project: Diverge’s Operation New Wave on 4.21.18 at the Old Bridge Elks in Old Bridge, NJ inTough Tim Hughes, “the Magnificent” Giovanni Marranca, 2Hot Steve Scott, and Mr. Darius Carter, Jon Harder took a step back and recorded the first studio taping of the Purge of Diverge.
Jon’s guest, MC Monty Max, who was announced as the Hypeman for Diverge, pitched a unique concept to completely round out Operation New Wave. What was the idea? A concept called THE STYLES CLASH. 4 different Artists in an multi-man elimination match, where the last surviving style represented would win the match and be the ultimate master of the Styles Clash. What styles will be in this Styles Clash? What performers? In five weeks time, MC Monty Max will return to the Purge of Diverse and announce who. With Jon Harder perplexed yet intrigued, you can see Operation New Wave developing a bit of a side path on the road to 4.21.18. While MC Monty Max is hyping and developing the Styles Clash, when will the next artist be announced? Stay tuned on March 2, 2018 to ProjectDiverge.com for the fifth artist announced for Operation New Wave 4.21.18 in Old Bridge. #DIVERGE |
